ALLEGED JIHAD RECRUITERS ARRESTED IN EUROPE

Two men accused of recruiting people to join the jihadist fight in Iraq and Syria have been arrested, Dutch police said Thursday.

Police say one man was arrested Thursday in Germany and the other was arrested Wednesday in The Hague, The Netherlands.

The report did not indicate whether the suspects were recruiters for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) or for other groups.

The Dutch have arrested nine other people in the last 16 months as the country investigates people traveling to fight in the Middle East, the AP noted. The Netherlands has one of the largest Muslim populations in Europe.
